CBD in the News
As of 2018, August 8 is National CBD Day. The origins of this “holiday” are similar to other semi-official national days – it was primarily developed for marketing purposes. According to the founder of National CBD Day, the holiday was a way to get the word out about CBD. It’s extremely difficult to market CBD via traditional means, so CBD companies need to get creative.
Check out this poll conducted by Gallup. It reviewed CBD consumption habits in the U.S. According to the results, about 14% of Americans have tried CBD. Some interesting finds include the fact that CBD use tends to be correlated with age – the younger you are, the more likely you are to have tried CBD. In addition, those living on the west coast are twice more likely to use CBD than those on the east coast. The most popular reasons for taking CBD are for pain, anxiety and sleep, in that order.
